Violinist Chloe Yeseul Kim, originally from Daegu, South Korea, currently serves as the Assistant Concertmaster of the Houston Grand Opera and a core violinist with the Houston Ballet Orchestra.

A passionate chamber and orchestral musician, Chloe has performed with renowned ensembles such as the New York Philharmonic, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Sonore Ensemble, Daegu Symphony Orchestra, KACO Chamber Orchestra, Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra, Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, MBC Symphony Orchestra, and the Muju International Music Festival Orchestra. She has participated in prestigious music festivals worldwide, earning fellowships at the Music Academy of the West, the International Mendelssohn Festival in Hamburg, and the Franco-American Music Festival in France. Chloe has also performed at the Casalmaggiore International Music Festival in Italy, the Thy Chamber Music Festival in Denmark, the Da Camera Society in Los Angeles, the Asia Orchestra Week in Japan, and the Daegu Opera Festival in Korea.

Throughout her career, she has worked with distinguished musicians and conductors, including Máté Szűcs, the Takács Quartet, Chisang Park, Mission Bahk, Anne Shih, Jaroslaw Domzal, Minji Kim, Christian Zacharias, John Storgård, Alexander Shelley, and Manfred Honeck.

Chloe earned her bachelor’s degree from the Keimyung-Chopin Academy of Music in Korea, studying with Chi Sang Park, Mihseon Bahk, and Agnieszka Marucha. She then moved to the United States to pursue a Master’s degree in Violin Performance at the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California under Glenn Dicterow. Following her studies at USC, she continued her studies with Cho-Liang Lin at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.
